Making good food choices is part of a healthy life. Good food allows you to be physically active, develop healthy bones and prevent health problems like high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease.
The PEI Healthy Eating Alliance is a non-profit group working collaboratively across settings to improve the eating habits of Islanders through public education and supportive environments. The PEI HEA has partnered with go! PEI and has a Registered Dietitian to assist with one-on-one support for all go! PEI healthy eating programs.
Visit www.healthyeatingpei.ca for more information on the Healthy Eating Alliance.
A week-to-week veggie box pick-up program. Each week fresh and naturally grown produce can be picked up at various locations across the Island. This program may be available year round in some locations.
The go! PEI Veggie Box program is one of the only programs that is Not Free. Our goal is to connect you with a local farmer where produce can be purchased directly from a farm on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. This allows you to get the freshest produce, know where your food comes from, connect with the person that is growing your food, and keep the currency in the local economy.
